Nexterra is continuously improving and expanding the capabilities of its gasification technology. This includes testing new fuels, improving gasifier performance, and developing unique applications and new products. Much of the work has been done at our Product Development Centre in Kamloops BC.

Nexterra continues to explore opportunities to use its core gasification and gas conditioning technologies as a platform for the development of high-value gases, fuels and chemicals from waste feedstocks.

In 2010, Nexterra entered into a research collaboration agreement with UBC to explore the production of advanced chemicals and products from gasification. Future R&D activities will be undertaken at new Bioenergy facility at the University of British Columbia, which opens the third quarter of 2012.
